ABOUT JOKE VERSTEGEN…

Belgian paintress Joke Verstegen was born in Torhout, a small city in close vicinity to the Belgian coast and the historic city of Bruges. After visiting diverse international galleries, meeting several artists and conversing about their artistic creations, she got stimulated to walk her own path in creating abstract art herself for her own art gallery in Ostend ‘VERSTEGEN Art Galerie’. 
Her works can be categorized in four distinct collections: human, earthly, landscapes and drip painting. She mostly utilizes acrylic paint on canvas, combined with mixed media for more depth in her pieces of art.
